He only remembers what he personally experienced during the original timeline, which keeps his decisions grounded and believable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">However, the story quickly becomes much more than a simple &#8220;fix-it.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Rather than following canon with a few corrections, the Old Gods themselves become involved, setting in motion a series of ancient safeguards left behind by the First Men. Those changes begin to cascade through the timeline, creating a completely different future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The result is a story that diverges dramatically from canon while still feeling faithful to the world of <em>A Song of Ice and Fire<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One of my favorite aspects is how magic becomes far more prominent than it ever was in the original books. Ancient mysteries, forgotten traditions, and the influence of the Old Gods all take on a much larger role as the story progresses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The fanfic is also willing to give many secondary characters time to shine instead of focusing exclusively on Robb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That said, this is very much a Stark-centric story. Readers looking for a more balanced perspective across every noble house may not enjoy it quite as much.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">My only real criticism is the update schedule. New chapters have become extremely infrequent, sometimes arriving only once a year.
