The author has stated that it is not abandoned, but it has been several years since the last update. Even so, it remains one of my favorite fanfics of all time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At its core, <em>Against the Odds<\/em> is a story about found family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The fic has a very comfortable slice-of-life atmosphere and does not rush its narrative. Instead, it slowly builds relationships, character interactions, and emotional connections in a way that feels natural and carefully constructed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One of the things I enjoyed most is how the story explores a more constructive and emotionally grounded version of Harry, rather than falling into the common angst-heavy approach found in many fanfics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Naruto also feels more human here while still keeping his optimistic personality and energy.
